All Hobie orders are shipped USPS ground. Please allow 5-7 business days transit once your order is shipped. You will receive an e-mail confirmation with a tracking number from USPS. Hobie Polarized and Eyeking, LLC are not responsible for lost packages with proof of delivery.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY ORDER ONCE IT IS PLACED?
Orders placed before 1 PM EST will be shipped the same business day. Any orders placed after 1 PM will be processed the following business day.
ARE HOBIE POLARIZED LENSES ANSI RATED?
Yes! All of our lenses pass ANSI- Z80.3 standards.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE HYDRO INFINITY AND HYDROCLEAN™ PLUS LENS COATINGS?
Our HydroClean™ Plus lenses provide an added protective coating on the front side of your lens – shedding water, resisting dirt, and battling against many other substances you may encounter. Our new Hydro Infinity lens coating uses our advanced HydroClean™ Plus coating on the front AND the back of the lenses, providing you with dual-sided protection within more extreme or adverse outdoor conditions.
DO HOBIE POLARIZED SUNGLASSES PROTECT AGAINST UV RAYS?
Always! Hobie Polarized Sunglasses protect against 100% harmful UVA, UVB and UVC rays.
WHAT IS A POLARIZED LENS?
When sunlight strikes certain surfaces (i.e. water, snow or ice), the bending of light that is reflected off “glare”. All Hobie Polarized lenses contain a special filter that blocks this intense reflection of light, allowing you to reduce eye strain and improve the clarity of your vision.
CAN I GET MY HOBIE POLARIZED FRAMES PRESCRIBED?
You sure can! Our awesome optical partners at Sport Rx will tailor your prescription sunglasses precisely to your needs. HOW SHOULD I SEND IN A PACKAGE IN TO YOUR WARRANTY DEPARTMENT?
We recommend that you send your packages to our warranty team via a carrier that offers a tracking number, in order to track and insure the package arrived safely. Before submitting, please obtain a return authorization number by reaching out to our customer service team 1-866-625-1280 (M-F 9-5PM EST).
ARE SCRATCHED LENSES COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY?
Unfortunately, scratched lenses are not covered under our warranty policy. However, if you reach out to our customer service team they will be happy to give you alternatives. Note, we do not carry replacement lenses.
CAN I STILL MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM EVEN IF I DO NOT HAVE MY RECEIPT?

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN MY GLASSES?
We recommend using a lens cleaning solution or mild soapy water first, to make sure all heavy particles like sand or dirt are washed away. Then with a soft microfiber cloth (like the microfiber you receive with your Hobies), rub in a circular motion until all the spots are clear.
WHAT ARE UV RAYS?
A UV ray is ultraviolet light that is produced primarily by our sun, these rays are invisible and pose a major risk factor to your skin and eyes. Hobie Polarized sunglasses block 100% UVA, UVB & UVC and provide protection for your eyes against these rays from potentially damaging your eyes.
